❄️ STEAM Into Winter ❄️ Free teacher training in coding, robotics & creative tech!
(Year 2+)
A great introduction to key concepts, with a strong focus on computational thinking and coding fundamentals — this is the perfect kit for young novice learners taking their first steps into the world of robotics and computers. Our Novice stream is designed across three levels, tailored to suit students from Year 2 through to Year 4, ensuring age-appropriate progression and skill development.
Throughout the course, learners will explore pattern recognition, sequencing, and practical problem-solving. Using logical thinking in a variety of hands-on activities, they’ll connect real-world experiences to robotics and coding concepts. By the end of the program, students will have mastered the foundational stages of block coding, gained an understanding of the capabilities and functions of robots, and learned how robotics can simplify everyday tasks.
(Year 5+)
The Apprentice stream is designed across three levels, making it suitable for students in Year 5 and above who are ready to deepen their understanding of technology and programming. The course begins by building a strong foundation in basic computer skills, including navigating the internet and e-communications.
Once learners have mastered these essentials, they progress to an introduction to MakeCode, a platform that enables them to create interactive and engaging programming experiences as they step confidently into the world of coding. Across the three levels, students will develop the skills needed to design and execute their own user programs on simulated and real-world tools, including the Micro:Bit, Micro:Bit car, and an Automated Home. This structured progression ensures learners gain practical expertise and confidence, preparing them for more advanced concepts in technology and robotics.
